I am very well behaved, but I can get excited at meeting new people for the first time. I usually settle down quite quickly after some pats. I adore meeting new people and being out and about, but I settle quickly when exposed to new dogs or environments.
I have a very calm demeanour off lead, although I tend to explore my surroundings as I see fit, if I have not been given a command. I’m very calm on lead and I don’t get distracted by other dogs. I enjoy exploring my surroundings on walks. I can walk calmly with a training aide (e.g. Halti head-collar).
I respond well to sit, stay, down, come and ‘look’ (look at the camera). I am very food orientated and can be enticed with my favourite treat (i.e cheese). I am not food aggressive, from a young age I have been trained mum and dad to pick up my food at any time without any issues. I get upset when my sister Willow steals my treats but I’m never aggressive. I love other dogs and making new friends
Much like my Champion show dog dad, I have has a very long tongue and striking lion-like mane and a strikingly large head. I take my life inspiration from ‘Marley’ the main character in my favourite movie “Marley and Me”. I have never met a pool or body of water I have not immediately wanted to dive into.
My mummy says “Charlie is special and one-of-a-kind. He has the biggest head we have ever seen which has given him the loving nickname of “Boof”. He has something beautiful about his spirit, which is evident in the interaction of everyone he has ever met. When he eagerly pops his head out of the car window to great people in traffic or meeting new people on the street, he lights their faces up and their enormous smiles beam with so much happiness. It’s such a beautiful sight to see.”
